What is broadband and its benefits

Broadband is a signaling method to handle multiple range of frequencies simultaneously these signals may divide into channels or frequency bins. We can use a term Bandwidth to measure the capacity of broadband. More bandwidth means more data transmit from one position to other. Today broadband used to handle data transmission such as TV channels, internet, communication and DSL.

We can use internet with a Dial-up but Dial-up theoretically handle 56Kbit/s in case of broadband internet connection it starts with 256kbit/s it mean a basic broadband connection is 4 and half times faster then a fully working Dial-up modem. 256Kbit/s is only beginning its maximum speed is more then 10Mbit depends on service provider.

Broadband uses along with DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), latest wireless networks, Cable Modem, Fiber Optics, Satellite and Broad over Power lines (BPL).

Multimedia can easily download with a broadband internet connection. In real time we can play online games, Use live radio as well as live TV channels and Webcam to broadcast our self.

Most common features of broadband is 24hour availability, high speed to save time, instant connection (no need to wait for dialing), phone line always available to receive/dial calls.

Broadband DSL connections use a formal telephone line and only three small devices can handle all communication first filter, second Router (Router a device use same as modem to process signals) and LAN (Local Area Network) card.

Filter uses to divide one telephone line into two lines. One line use along with telephone and second line connected with a Router. Router and router connect with LAN.

You can buy these accessories on your own or your ISP will facilitate you with all equipments.
