nearly all people facing the problem about ptcl dsl connection's modem.
Shiro adsl 2+ got an on/off internet connection problem(it always de-synchronize). I don't know any technical issue but i solve it few days ago.
Its main reason is power supply. the modem provided by ptcl called "shiro adsl 2/2+" restarts whenever voltage drop from 230V to 200V.
it restarts at low voltage.
there is no tolerance in the adapter.
only two solutions
First Change modem to another brand
2nd use stabilizer with your modem/router.
Recently shiro starts making another problem.
it don't work properly with ping under 60ms.
ping dramatically increase to 150-160ms to ptcl's own server.
ping increasing to 150/160ms means routing problem.
Too much low download speed.
it works fine late at night about 4am Pakistani time when no load at electricity (WAPDA).
that was the problem in the router and i changed it. Now new modem of same brand is working fine.

Hi dude you are right.ptcl's shiro is a bad router and its firmware is not upgradeable but now they are providing new zte router with there connection recently one of my relive start using student package of ptcl and they provide them zte modem.
You gave good information Anonymous! Zte is one among the good router companies Its nice that ptcl finally realize that they suppose to provide quality devices to their customers.
